Obituary

Skyler Lee Newman-Thompson, age 19, passed away Sunday, August 6, 2023 at Warsaw Health and Rehabilitation Center.

He was born on July 23, 2004 in Osage Beach, MO, a son of Mark Elster Thompson and Jessica Newman.

Skyler was saved at Decaturville Bible School Camp. He was a member of the JROTC at Camdenton High School. Skyler was in the Boy Scouts and had been working towards becoming an Eagle Scout. He had worked at O'Reilly Auto Parts in Laurie. Skyler loved being outdoors. Anytime he had the chance to be outside he took it. This led to him being an avid hunter and fisherman. He also liked trap shooting and forging with his Troop Leader.

Skyler was an amazing son, brother, grandson, and nephew; who always looked out for others.

Survivors include his parents Mark Thompson and Jessica Newman; four siblings, Ashlynn Ryherd, Ayrianna Polley, Blake Polley, and Joeyanne Thompson; grandparents, Donita Thompson, Ronnie Thompson, Regina Johnson, and Glenn Adams; great-grandparents, James Wilson, and Margie Adams; along with other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his great grandparents, RD Thompson, Erma Wilson, and Mary Stevenson.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 11, 2023 at the Scrivner-Page-Dady Funeral Home with Pastor Phil Burns officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Union Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home until the time of the service.
