Sandra Lee Matchett

Sandra Lee Matchett, 82, of Fortuna, MO, passed away Monday, March 5, 2023, at her home.

She was born May 6, 1940, in Hancock, IA to Ted and Erville (Venard) LeRette, who preceded her in death.

Sandra enjoyed reading , fishing, and planting and tending her flowers. She worked at Stride Rite in Tipton until the plant closed.

She was married to Clyde Matchett, who preceded her in death on January 13, 2019.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her great-granddaughter, Alana Matchett on June 7, 2020.

Survivors include her four children, James Matchett, John Matchett (Brenda), Jarrett Matchett, all of Fortuna, and Jamie Matchett (Shannon) of Tipton; three siblings, Larraine Hake (Howard) of Osawatame KS, Arla Sawyer (Ken) Frisco City, AL, and Teddy LeRette (Katurah) of Stillwater, OK; seven grandchildren, Kayla Stark of Versailles, Ashley Coons (Matt) of Sedalia, Jeremiah Matchett (Tiffanie) of Fulton, Ethan Matchett (Courtney ) of Hannibal, Katie Matchett, Patricia Matchett, and Johnny Ray Matchett, all three of Tipton; and numerous great-grandchildren.

No public services are planned.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Meisenheimer-Page-Dady Funeral Home, Tipton, MO.
