Liz Hernandez

Liz Hernandez, age 62, of Versailles passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at Capital Region Medical Clinic in Jefferson City.
It was on the 9th day of January in 1961 when Henry Ollie and Charlotte Earlene (Teek) Barnes welcomed their daughter, Elizabeth Marie, into their home in Kansas City, Missouri.
She owned her own pallet refurbishing company when she was younger. Liz also worked as a courier in Kansas City and when she moved down to Stover she worked as a waitress at the Gallery.
Liz was a generous soul. She would give anyone in need the shirt off her back to help them.
She is survived by her long time companion, Don Winfrey; five children, John Barnes, Gwendolyn Caraway, Joseph Diaz, Christine Reed, and Coetta Lutjen; four siblings, James Barnes, Earl Barnes, Ora Hammock, and Flora Stanton; and four grandchildren, James, Jasmine "Jazzy", Randy Wayne, and Jacob.
In keeping with her wishes, she was cremated.
