Charles L. Morris JR., age 80, passed away Thursday March 23rd, 2023 at Capital Regional hospital in Jefferson City Missouri.

Charles was born on May 5th, 1942, in Lincoln Nebraska, a Son of PVT Charles L. Morris and Fay Ray.

On July15, 1961 in Chillicothe, Illinois Charles was united in marriage to Loretta Bushman. Together they raised four children.

Charles worked as a policeman for the city of Peoria Illinois, a job he had great pride in and in later years was an over the road truck driver for Scheider before retiring with his wife Loretta.

Charles was an avid storyteller, a friend to many and a lover to animals and a proud member of the Class of 1961. Charles (Tiny) was a basketball and football player in high school. Many of these friendships he still has today.

Charles is survived by his four children, Debbie and Husband Rob of Liberty Missouri, Rebecca and Husband Scott of Cameron Missouri, Charles Morris and Wife Lisea of Raymore and Johnell Morris of Cameron Missouri. Ten grandchildren, Sarah, Kacie, Seth, Jami, Shane, Emelia, Jacob, Charles, Sam and Caleb. Eleven great grandchildren, Bruce, Myra, Sirus, Max, Etta, Autumn, Owen, George, Juniper, Jupiter and Philippa. He is also survived by a Sister Fay Hitchcock of Mapleton Illinois. He was preceded in death by his Parents, in-laws, wife and a Brother.

A special thank you to his wonderful friends Allen and Violet Logan, his friends of the Versailles Nutrition site and Pastor Joe Bigham of the West Chapel Assembly of God.

A graveside service will be held at Stover Missouri cemetery on May 6th, 2023 at 2 p.m. for his friends and family.
