Charles Malotte

Charlie Malotte, age 76, of Stover passed away Tuesday, October 11th, 2022 at SSM St. Mary's Hospital in Jefferson City.
It was on the 30th day of July in 1946 when Bert and Margaret (Piatt) Malotte welcomed their baby boy, Charles H., into their home in Boonville.
On May 11, 2016 he was united in marriage to Joann Pearson.
Charlie was a Godly, loving man. He loved his Lord with all his heart. He and Joann watched their church every Sunday.
He was a jack of all trades. He enjoyed tinkering and fixing everything he could get his hands on. He liked to learn new skills. Charlie had the capability to build knives; starting in his forge to make the blade and finishing by whittling the handles out of wood. He had a kiln and was talented enough that he had a ceramics business for a while. He made many, many things.
Being in nature gave him a sense of peace. Charlie would get restless when it rained or snowed because he couldn’t go recharge outside. He also liked to hunt when he was younger.
The greatest enjoyment in Charlie’s life came from spending time with those who he thought of as family.
Left to carry on Charlie’s legacy is his wife Joann, a son, Troy Malotte; two stepsons, Ronald Vansell and wife Judy and Eddie Vansell and wife Pat; one stepdaughter, Angela Madden and husband Jim; several grandchildren; two sisters, Lela Heim and Joann Conner; along with other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Lillie and a brother Carl Malotte.
In keeping with his wishes, he will be cremated. A celebration of life will be at a later date.
Cremation arrangements are under the care of the Scrivner-Page-Dady Funeral Home in Stover.
