Billy Jolly, age 84, of Stover passed away Friday, May 5, 2023, at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Versailles.
It was on the 28th day of February in 1939 that Delbert June and Barbara June (Lester) Jolly welcomed their only child, Billy Joe, into their home in Topeka, Kansas.
Billy was an operating engineer for Livingston Graham.
On November 28, 1987, Billy was united in marriage to Sharron Wright in Las Vegas.
He liked to fish and hunt, making his own loads for his shotguns. He always liked growing tomato plants each year. Billy had a wall of movies to pick from to watch. He also watched Jeopardy and FOX News. His greatest enjoyment came from time spent with his family. He and Shane liked to play cribbage together.
Left to carry on his legacy is his wife, Sharron, of Stover; his son, Shane Jolly of Stover; daughter, Tawnya Edwards (Scott Carver) of Syracuse; a stepson, William McCully (Teresa); two stepdaughters, Sherry Boatwright and Patricia Shull (Jerry) all of Indiana; twenty grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; along with other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
In keeping with his wishes, he will be cremated. No services are planned at this time.
