Her family loved her famous peach cobblers. Benita loved her family with all her heart. She knew Jesus as her personal Savior and was the spiritual rock of her family. Schultz of Versailles and Michael A. and Jenny Knight of Stover; ten grandchildren, Mary, Jerry, Mark, David, Karen, Stephen, Eric, J.D., Brandi, and Ashley; twenty-two great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; along with several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, Benita was preceded in death by four sisters, Verna Brosmer, Ruby Germann, Dot Duncan, and Billie Inloes; one brother, Bud Kellum; and two sons-in-law, Carl Tannehill and Dutch Schultz.
