Wilma June Serl, 78, of Jefferson City passed away Thursday, February 8, 2018, at University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.
She was born January 1, 1940, in Polk County, Missouri, the daughter of the late Elmer Claud and Lola Mae (Coonis) Breshears. June was one of four children born to Elmer and Lola: Wilma, Lori, Twyla, and Erma.
June was united in marriage on January 11, 1959, at Mt. Herman Baptist Church in Olean, Missouri to Charles Lee Serl who preceded her in death on November 23, 2003.
June was a devoted wife and homemaker. Charles, her husband, was a meat cutter and sales man who would attend special events and grocery store openings across Missouri as a representative of the meat company. June would regularly travel with Charles to help package meat for customers at these special events.
She is a former member of First Baptist Church of Stewartsville. June and Charles enjoyed bowling together and had won many bowling trophies.
She is survived by several family members and other extended family members.
Visitation will be 12:30-1:30 p.m. Monday, February 12, 2018, at Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Homes in Russellville.
Funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. Monday, February 12, 2018, at Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Homes in Russellville with Rev. Melissa Hatfield officiating.
Burial will be in Allen Cemetery.
