William “Billy” Claudis Wilkey

William “Billy” Claudis Wilkey, 78, of Grand Pass, MO, passed away Thursday, October 28, 2021, at Tipton Oak Manor, Tipton, MO.

Billy was born in Mt. Home, AR on Februrary17,1943, to Anderson “Andy” and Cassie (Harrison) Wilkey, who preceded him in death.

He was united in marriage to Joann Lea Vielbig on July 4, 1981. Joann preceded him in death on August 1, 2021. Over the years Billy and Joann shared their joy of being grandparents to four grandchildren, whom they adored.

Billy retired from Ford Motor Company in Claycomo, MO after thirty years of service.

He is survived by his daughter; Tonya Williams of Independence, MO; is son Michael Wilkey of Independence, MO, his sister, Shirley Murphy of Clarksburg, MO; and his four grandchildren, Christain Williams of Virginia, Jake Williams, Savannah Williams, and Amber Birch, all three of Independence, MO.

Besides his parents and wife, Joann, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Shelia Birch; and  three siblings, Elsie Wilkey, Laura Collier, and James “Jimmy” Wilkey.

Other family members include great grandsons, Skylar and Ethan of Independence, MO and numerous nieces and nephews.
