Bill Weaver, age 95, of Independence, Missouri passed away Friday, January 5, 2024, at the Villages of Jackson Creek in Independence.
It was on the 24th day of May in 1928 that William Henry and Joda Lee (Garrison) Weaver welcomed their son, William Junior, into their home in Morgan County.
Bill wasn't a stranger to hard work. He worked for General Mills, eventually retiring from the company. He worked for the maintenance department; getting called to do just about anything that needed done.
He was one of those people that had a knack for being everyone's friend. He was always helping someone. He also enjoyed time spent outdoors hunting and fishing.
Left to carry on his legacy are his three sons, Rocky Weaver and wife Janet of Blue Springs, William I. Weaver of Jefferson City, and Dan Weaver of Cowgill; along with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Russel "Rusty" Weaver; and all of his siblings, Calvin Weaver, Ira Weaver, Geneva Baldasare, and Gloria Jean Ultas.
In keeping with his wishes, he will be cremated and buried in the Versailles Cemetery at a later date.
A celebration of life will be held in March.
