William Ballard Singletary

William Ballard Singletary, age 93, of Stover, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday afternoon, October 1, 2020.

Ballard and his wife co-managed Smithson’s Inc. in Stover for more than 40 years.

He is survived by his wife, Almeda Singletary of the home; two children, Connie Smith of Stover and Bill Singletary and wife Shannon of Harrisonville; four grandchildren, Jim and Andy Cios and Marlana and Jeremy Smith; four step grandchildren, Robert, Brian, Tim and Michael Brewer and seven great grandchildren.

Ballard was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings and three grandchildren, Jason Smith, Devan Smith and Jarrett Smith.

In keeping with his wishes he will be cremated.  Services will be held at a later date in North Carolina.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Stover First Baptist Church Youth Division.
