William Joseph Reeves

Joe Reeves, age 81, of Barnett passed away Tuesday, February 28th, 2023 at his home.
It was on the 3rd day of April in 1941 that Eugene and Martha (Bailey) Reeves welcomed their son, William Joseph, into their home in Rantoul, Illinois.
On Dec. 16, 1972 he was united in marriage to Sandra (Sam) Sawyer.
Joe worked as a Teamster for Azzarelli Construction in Kankakee, Illinois. He was Commander on and off for 22 years at the Aroma Park American Legion Post #1019 in Aroma Park, Illinois and then Finance Officer for the AmVets Post #108 in Rocky Mount, Mo.
He enjoyed playing cards and helping his fellow veterans.
Joe is survived by his wife, "Sam" Reeves of Barnett; his son, Jeff Reeves; a daughter, Kelli Quick both of Paris, Illinois, a brother, Gene Reeves of Milford, Ill., 2 grandchildren, Joe & Alexa, and 1 great granddaughter, Riley.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
In keeping with his wishes, he was cremated. A celebration of life will be held at the AmVets Post 108 in Rocky Mount at a later date.
