William Lewis "Bill" Pace, 76, of Tipton, passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at his home.
Bill was born on April 21, 1950, in Boonville, Missouri, a son of Fred Vivian and Agnes Wilma (Friedly) Pace. He graduated from Morgan County R-II School in Versailles with the Class of 1968.
Bill spent his entire working career as a mechanic in the Tipton area, where he earned the respect of countless friends and customers for his knowledge, skill, and willingness to lend a helping hand. There was very little with an engine that Bill couldn't diagnose or repair, and he took great pride in keeping things running.
Outside of work, Bill's passion for motors never faded. He enjoyed working on engines and motorcycles and was happiest with a wrench in his hand. He found excitement behind the wheel, racing cars on local dirt tracks and making lasting memories with fellow racers and friends all the way up into his 60's.
Survivors include one brother, John Pace and his wife Lisa Manzini-Pace of Hollister, MO; two sisters, Mary Kay Pace and her husband Mark Youran of Green Valley, AZ, and Jean Ann Pace of Jefferson City, MO; two nephews, Ian Peter Pace, and David Youran.
Bill was preceded in death by both of his parents.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Friday, September 18, 2026, at the Meisenheimer-Page-Dady Funeral Home in Tipton.
