William Gerald Ludwig

William G. Ludwig, age 89, passed away Thursday, September 6, 2018 at Tipton Oak Manor. Before his illness, William had lived most recently in California and also Jefferson City, Missouri. For the majority of his life however, he lived near Kansas City, Missouri.

William was born in Garden City, Missouri on October 24, 1928 to Eugene Carroll and Zora May Ludwig. He was a born salesman and spent the majority of his life working for Sears Roebuck Co. He really enjoyed driving and was very fond of cars, especially pretty cars.

William raised his two sons Tony and Gene Ludwig. He also gained a stepson Kenny Young, and had a big part in raising him.

Those preceding William G. Ludwig in death were his parents and brothers Marvin and Dale Ludwig.

Surviving William are his sons Anthony (Tony) Ludwig of Lake Ozark, Missouri, Calvin E. (Gene) Ludwig and his wife Jamie of Jacksonville, Fla, and stepson Kenny Young and his wife Debbie of Sturgeon, Missouri; sister Marjorie; grandchildren Amber, Kimberly, Jessie, Cassie, Jessica, Tiffany, Jarod and Jenavieve; great grandchildren Kirsten, Raylon, Riley, Hannah, Reese, Rhett and Archer; nieces, nephews and many other friends and family members.

There will be a family gathering at a future date in Garden City, Missouri where William's parents and brothers are buried.
