Wayne Rowles

Wayne Rowles, age 78 passed away peacefully at home with his family at his side, Saturday evening, December 1, 2018.

Wayne was born to Willard Warren and Dorothy May Rowles at Boonville, Missouri on August 22, 1940.
Wayne earned his Associates degree and also served his country in the US Navy aboard aircraft carrier USS Randolph.

As a young man, Wayne enjoyed the freedom of riding his motorcycle and a good game of pool.

On April 5, 1962 Wayne and Mary Lee Purnell were married in Clarksburg, Missouri and were married for 56 years, working together and raising their sons. Wayne and Mary lived in Columbia, Missouri while he was employed by MFA Oil as the supervisor of transportation and maintenance for almost 30 years. Upon his retirement, they returned to the farm north of Tipton where he was raised and where they have remained, enjoying their family that has grown to include five grandchildren, two great grand children and another soon to be born.

Preceding Wayne in death were his parents.

Those surviving Wayne include his wife Mary of the home; sons Kenny W. Rowles and his wife Sheryl of Tipton and Tony W. Rowles and his wife Cynnamon of Benton, Louisiana; brother James Ray Rowles of Springfield, Missouri; grandchildren Amy Williams and her husband Corey, Jessica Berney and her husband Travis, all of Tipton, Kayla Rowles of Columbia, Missouri, Alan Rowles of Tipton, and Kyle Rowles of Benton, Louisiana; great grandchildren Kade and Kase Williams of Tipton and Colter Berney on the way.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at Meisenheimer Funeral Home in Tipton, Missouri with burial immediately following at the Masonic Cemetery in Tipton. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 PM, Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at funeral home.
