Wayne "Skip" Auston Bail

Wayne Auston "Skip" Bail, age 76, of Stover, died Sunday morning, March 8, 2009, at the Golden Age Living Center in Stover.
He was born March 15, 1932, in Eagle Valley Township, Minnesota a son of Delle and Irene Hoosier Bail.
He was an Army veteran. Skip was an over-the road truck driver for most of his life. He was also an accomplished musician, playing guitar, piano and also as a vocalist. He was a member of several local bands throughout the years and enjoyed going to Jam sessions. He was an all-out-entertainer, having a knack for making people laugh and appearing in his own comedy act.
Skip and Violet moved to the Stover area three years ago to be near his daughter and her family.
Survivors include his wife, Violet Billiter Bail of the home; five daughters, Trina Grubaugh and husband Jon of Stover; Mary Matthews and husband Willy of Lee's Summit; Teresa Hernandez of Lakeland, Florida; Carol McCallister and husband Brian of Kansas City and Della Rockwood and husband Brent of Washington state; one son, Michael Hernandez and wife Brenda of Gardner, Kansas; one sister, Rita Haidle of Minnesota; three brothers, Otho Bail of Minnesota; John Bauer of Kansas and Francis "Woody' Bauer of Louisiana; eighteen grandchildren, with two very special grandsons, Charlie and Wayne Rogers, six great grandchildren, also other relatives and friends.
Skip was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Mike Bauer and one grandson, Jonathan.
