Warren Y. Nolting

Warren Yost Nolting, age 70 of Smithton, died Thursday, June 4, 2009, at the Golden Age Living Center in Stover.
He was born February 23, 1939, in Morgan County, the only child of Wilbert F. "Bert" and Pearl M. Yost Nolting, both deceased. On September 28, 1958, Warren was united in marriage to Lela Fae Grunewald at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Stover. Lela preceded him in death April 30, 1976. On June 24, 1977, he married Joy Allard and she preceded him in death January 22, 2008.
He was a 1957 graduate of Stover High School. He served his country in the Army Reserves.
At one time Warren farmed in the Florence area. He then spent fifteen years on the harvest with Leo P. Jones and later drove a truck for American Compressed Steel in Sedalia.
He was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Florence. He enjoyed fishing, especially catfish.
He is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Jeff and Jill Nolting of Florence; Gary and April Nolting of Tipton and Scott and Kelli Nolting, Jasper; three stepsons and two stepdaughters-in-law, Andy and June Skutnick of Sedalia; Eddie and Linda Skutnick of Smithton; and Kevin Allard of Sedalia; eight grandchildren, Dustin and wife Amanda, Austin, Collin, Jordyn and husband Lucas, Jacob, Maranda, Payden and Lydia, several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by a stepson, Tony Skutnick.
Services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, June 8, at the Scriver-Morrow Funeral Home in Stover with Rev. Steve Robinson officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Stover with Dustin Nolting, Austin Nolting, Lucas McQuaid, Collin Nolting, Jacob Nolting, and Patrick Brown serving as casket bearers.
Friends will be received from 9:30 A.M. - 11:00 A.M. Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the Bethlehem Baptist Church Building Fund.
