Viola Ella Paulina Fischer Taylor

Viola Ella Paulina Fischer Taylor, age 97, of Stover, passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2016, at Golden Age Living Center in Stover.
She was born March 29, 1919, in Pharr, Texas a daughter of August A. and Ella Schnirch Fischer. She was baptized April 20, 1919 in Pharr, Texas and confirmed April 3, 1933, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Stover.
Viola was united in marriage to Clayton Taylor on August 18, 1940, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Stover. Clayton preceded her in death December 6, 2002.
She attended school in Stover and for a few years worked in Kansas City before marrying Clayton.
For many years she was a homemaker, busy raising three children. She later worked at Smithson’s Inc., in Stover, retiring after 21 years of employment.
She was a faithful member of the Christ Lutheran Church in Stover.
Viola enjoyed sewing and doing embroidery work. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who loved every moment she could spend with her family. She especially looked forward to being a part of her great grandchildren’s activities.
Survivors include two daughters, Joyce Bauer and Sharon James and husband Jack all of Stover; five grandchildren, Monica Weibust and husband Terry, Meredith Taylor, Lisa Meyer and husband Jeff, Brad Bauer and wife Lori and Scott Bauer and wife Tara; eleven great grandchildren, Dakota Kroeschen and wife Amy, Dylan Kroeschen and wife Tory, Marshal Meyer and Raygan Meyer, Tyler Weibust, Jensen, Blake and Bryce Bauer and Brenden, Emily and Hannah Bauer, along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband Viola was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Ronald Taylor, one son-in-law, Jim Bauer, one grandson, Kip Alan James, and five brothers, Leo, Herbert, Norman, Marvin and Lester Fischer.
Funeral services will be 12:00 noon, Saturday, October 22, at Christ Lutheran Church in Stover with Pastor Tom Tuura officiating. Interment will be in the Stover Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon, Saturday, October 22, at the Christ Lutheran Church in Stover.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Christ Lutheran Church, CLC Youth or the Golden Age Living Center.
