Vacha Campbell

d. February 7, 2021

Our family and community sadly lost one of its strongest pillars on Sunday, February 7, 2021, when Mrs. Vacha Leann Campbell, often known to

many as "Auntie V", passed. Her contributions to this world include the dedication she showed, not only for her own family, but the new family members and friends she would make every day as she offered an open hand to help and guide anyone who seemed lost in this life, as well as 30 years of service to the Internal Revenue Service, where she grew to call her co-workers her "children". Vacha is survived by the grateful and loving community of Kansas City and her husband of 30 years, Mr. Dennis Campbell, their two children: Colleen Campbell and Vach Campbell, along with their children: Caleb Campbell, Ember Campbell. Mrs. Campbell is also survived by two siblings: Laura Simpson and Michael Simpson, along with their children: Gerald Simpson, Crystal Offield, Michael Simpson Jr., and Jazmine Simspon, as well as her brother and sister in-laws: Stan Sharp and Vicki Sharp, along with their children; Jesse Sharp, Sarah Sharp, and Courtney Sharp. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Alfred Simpson and Mrs. Clara Simpson, as well as her mother in-law and father in-law: Mr. Jerry Campbell and Mrs. Nila Campbell.  Her legacy and values live on in the hearts and minds of everyone she interacted with as well as those she reached, but never met.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 25, 2021, at the Stover City Cemetery.
