Timothy Dale Downs

Timothy Dale Downs, 58, of Fortuna, MO, passed away unexpectedly Monday, April 18, 2022, at his home.

Tim was born December 2, 1963, in Kansas City, MO, to John and Barbara “LuAnn” (Mayhugh) Downs. He plied himself to a variety of trades throughout his life, including auto mechanics and agriculture. In 2007, Tim moved to Syracuse and began working at Cargill until 2020. He then began working for General Cable in Sedalia, until his death.

On September 22, 2016, he was united in marriage to Denise Adden, who survives of the home.

Tim enjoyed fishing, hunting and heckling friends and acquaintances alike. His final labors were dedicated to building a space for his beloved family to call home.

In addition to his wife, Denise, Tim is survived by his parents, John and LuAnn Downs of Fortuna, MO; sister Wanda Downs of Fortuna, MO; daughter Melissa Lattin and her husband, Marc, of Appleton City, MO; granddaughters Lily and Violet Lattin of Appleton City, MO; and four stepchildren, Ricardo Juarez of Parkville, MO, Joseph Juarez of Cleveland, MO, and Brad Overton and Jennifer Whetstone, both of Blue Springs; five step grandchildren; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm, Saturday, April 30, 2022, at Meisenheimer Funeral Home, Tipton, MO. There will be a dinner immediately following the service at the Syracuse Community Park Building in Syracuse, MO.
