Sharon Ann Taschner, age 79, of Stover, passed away Friday, December 22, 2017, at the Golden Age Living Center in Stover. She was born February 4, 1938, in Crofton, Nebraska a daughter of Benjamin and Cleone Meirose Behrens. On July 24, 1964, in Salem, Oregon Sharon was united in marriage to Forrest Taschner who survives at their home. Sharon and Forrest resided in Iowa for many years, where she stayed busy raising their daughter. Following his retirement they decided to spend time on the road where they were property managers for a storage unit company. This business opportunity led to them residing in California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona and New Mexico. When they weren’t working they loved to travel, especially exploring the beautiful western United States. In addition to her husband of 53 years, she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Jan and Allen Johnson of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; a brother and sister-in-law, Norman and Wanda Behrens of Medford, Oregon; a sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Bill Neifert of Salem, Oregon; three granddaughters, Rebecca, Nicole and Shelley and three great grandsons, along with her beloved poodle Jacques. In keeping with her wishes, Sharon was cremated. No services are planned at this time.
