Shannon Beckmann

November 2, 1967 — May 22, 2021

It was on the 2nd of November in 1967, that Harry and Lucille Marriott Beckmann welcomed their first child, Shannon Harry, into this world in Sedalia.

Growing up on the family farm Harry and Lu taught him hard work, the importance of family and a love for the outdoors. He enjoyed sharing that knowledge when his younger sister, Shila, came along and throughout his life.

He was a 1986 graduate of Stover High School.

On February 9, 1990 he married Jessica Friedebach and to this union they had three sons, Kyler, Jestin and Brady.

On February 12, 2005 Shannon was united in marriage to Cindy Marriott at the Big Rock Baptist Church in Barnett.

He worked as a carpet installer with his two younger sons, Jestin and Brady, turning work into a fun experience. He was also able to live his dream of being a Pro fisherman, partnering with his oldest son, Kyler. As the points sit right now, their team is in first place for Angler of the Year for the American Crappie Trail.

Shannon never met a stranger. Everyone that has ever met Shannon has at least one great story with him. He was always ready with a story of his own for every situation and a grin. Good or bad you could always depend on Shannon to tell you what he thought.

The love for the outdoors was always present in how Shannon spent his time. He taught his children and eventually his grandchildren everything he knew about being outdoors, hunting and fishing. He enjoyed turkey hunting and coon hunting.

Shannon was baptized at the First Baptist Church in Stover and is currently a member.

It was Saturday, May 22, 2021 that Shannon unexpectedly passed away at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach.

Shannon’s stories will live on with his family.
