Scott Preston Barnett

Scott Preston Barnett, age 44, of Gravois Mills, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, October 31, 2018.

He was born November 11, 1973, in Kansas City, a son of Wylie and Connie Conard Barnett.

Scott was a member of KC Heat and Frost Insulators Local #27, working for All Temp, Inc. in Kansas City.

For most of his life he lived and worked in the Kansas City area.  He moved to the Lake of the Ozarks to be near his mother; where he could fish, enjoy the outdoors and tinker with his cars.  He looked forward to spending time with family and friends, especially when it was with his daughter Jaelinn, who was his pride and joy.

Survivors include his daughter, Jaelinn Barnett and her mother, Gina Burkes of Clinton; his mother, Connie Barnett of Gravois Mills; his father and stepmother, Wylie and Marla Barnett of Kansas City; his paternal grandmother, Janie Barnett of Belton; his sister, Stephanie Barnett Buhler and husband Terry of Huntsville, Alabama; his identical twin brother, Philip “Randy” Barnett of Belton; a stepsister, Jennifer Streeby of Leawood, Kansas; two nephews, Branden and Cameron Buhler; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Scott was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Elmer C. Barnett and his maternal grandparents, Claud and Mildred Conard.

A Celebration of Scott’s life will be Sunday, November 4, from 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. at the Harrisonville Church of the Nazarene, 2305 East South Street (Highway 2), Harrisonville, MO  64701, with Pastor Bill Kirkemo officiating.  In lieu of flowers, Scott’s family requests memorial contributions to his minor daughter.
