Samuel D. Schreck

Samuel David “Sammy” Schreck, 56, of Versailles, died Saturday, June 19, 2021 near Latham due to a motorcycle accident.

He was born August 23, 1964 the son of Virgil A. and Velma H. “Helen” (Gray) Schreck, who preceded him in death.

Sam was a 1983 graduate of Tipton High School. He was a member of the Fortuna Baptist Church. He worked for the Tipton R-VI School District for nearly 20 years.

Sam was a fun-loving, friendly guy who would help anyone. He will be remembered for his personality, his funny remarks and practical jokes. He was beloved by many and will be greatly missed.

Surviving is his sister, Leona D. “Dolores” Dunn (David), of Versailles; and several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, Leonard Edward Schreck.

A public memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at Fortuna Baptist Church, with Rev. Brad Homan officiating.

Interment will be in the Tipton Masonic Cemetery.

The family suggests memorials be made to Tipton R-VI School District or to the Fortuna Baptist Church.

Arrangements are in the care of Meisenheimer Funeral Home in Tipton.
