Rosslyn Mae Steinmeyer, 83, of Versailles, passed away, Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at the Good Shepherd Care Center in Versailles.

She was born on January 22, 1942, in Titonka, Iowa, the daughter of Wayne and Caroll (Reaser) Miller.

On May 28, 1961, Rosslyn was united in marriage to Roy August Steinmeyer at the Christian Church in Versailles, Missouri. They shared many devoted years together until Roy’s passing on September 20, 2020.

Rosslyn was a proud graduate of Central Missouri State University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Vocational Home Economics. She dedicated her professional life to public service, working for the State of Missouri in the Division of Family Services, from which she later retired.

She was an active and faithful member of the Stover United Methodist Church and enjoyed fellowship through her involvement in Beta Sigma Phi, Unique Stitchers, and the Domestic Engineers. Rosslyn found great joy in quilting, a craft that reflected her patience and creativity, and she loved spending quiet time reading a good book.

Survivors include two children, Kurt Steinmeyer and his wife Stephanie of Versailles, Suzie Comstock and her husband Tim of Tipton; nine grandchildren, Scott and Rori Comstock, Caroline and Lok Newkirk, Kelly Comstock, Boone and Megan Steinmeyer, Cade and Ryann Steinmeyer, Nathaniel Jones, Ezra Steinmeyer, Sophie Steinmeyer, and Zachary Jones; ten great-grandchildren, Mace and Quinn Newkirk, Marion and Tyler Comstock, Delaney, Royce and Brynlee Steinmeyer, Ellie and Tinley Steinmeyer and Roderick Steinmeyer.

In addition to both of her parents and her husband she was preceded in death by one sister, Beth Hedrick.

There are no services scheduled at this time. Inurnment will be held at a later date at the Stover Cemetery.
