Rodney Offield

Rodney Offield, age 67, of Stover passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022, at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Jefferson City.

It was the 4th day of February in 1954 when Merl and Maxine Roach Offield welcomed their baby boy, Rodney Dewayne into their home in Kansas City.

On August 31, 1971, in Kansas City, Rodney was united in marriage to Deborah Davis, who preceded him in death on November 1, 2018.

Rodney worked as a car dealer and pool builder for over 45 years providing for his family.

In his spare time, Rodney liked to fish, hunt, restore classic cars, and watch the KC Chiefs. His greatest enjoyment in life came from taking care of his family and spending time with them. He liked to play with his grandkids and cook big dinners for his family.

Left to carry on Rodney’s legacy are his children and their spouses, Rodney Jr. and Nikie Offield of Green Bay, Wisconsin, Lisa Renee Offield and Brett Mergner of Boynton Beach, Florida, Dallas Earl and Heather Offield of Stover, Dusty Ray and Danielle Offield of Versailles, and Dillon Matthew and Krystal Offield of Stover; three sisters, Connie Gregg, Carlotta Cobb, and Trina Offield; his grandchildren, Tyler Offield, Zachary Offield, Destiny Harrington, Chloe Caselman, Dallas Jr. Offield, Dean Offield, Arizona Offield, Maverick Offield, Dustyn Offield, and one due in four weeks; along with other family and friends.

In addition to his wife, Deborah, he is preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Danny Martin, Randy Offield, Roger Offield, Rowdy Offield, and Jerry Martin; and two sisters, Tonya Offield and Robin Offield.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Noon on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at the Stover Community Center.
