Robert "Bob" F. Jacobs

Robert F. "Bob" Jacobs, age 64, of Lohman, died Friday, June 5, 2009, at Heisinger Bluffs in Jefferson City.
He was born February 28, 1945, in Lohman, a son of Francis "Frank" and Virginia Meller Jacobs. On October 12, 1990, he married Connie Barbour and she survives at their home in Lohman.
He was a 1963 graduate of Russellville High School. He was also a graduate of the University of Missouri in Columbia.
Bob was employed with the MODOT District 5 in Jefferson City for more than 30 years.
He was a lifelong member of St. Martins Catholic Church. Bob enjoyed woodworking, music (playing and singing), helping people, mowing the grass on his farm and being with his family.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Ryan and Krystal Jacobs of Jefferson City; two daughters and a son-in-law, Patricia and Matthew VanderFeltz of Dupont, Wash. and Ronda Scheperle of Jefferson City; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Henry and Velma Jacobs and John and Donna Jacobs all of Lohman; six sisters andfour brothers-in-law, Betty Harrison of Fulton; Vernie and Edward Eichholz of Westphalia; Lucy Bennet of Lohman; Ethel and Wilbur Bernskoetter of Henley; Shirley and Bill Forck of Benton and Marilyn and Leon Keller of Lohman; three grandchildren, Elizabeth and William VanderFeltz and Gabriella Jacobs, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Anna Marie Jacobs and a grandson, Xavier Jacobs.
The Mass of Christian burial will be 12:00 noon, Wednesday, June 10, at St. Martins Catholic Church with Father Ed Schmidt officiating. Interment will be in the St. Martins Catholic Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 9, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Russellville, with a prayer service at 6:30 P.M. Memorial contributions are suggested to Heisinger Bluffs or Missouri River Hospice.
