Robert "Bob" W. Biggs

Robert W. “Bob” Biggs, age 71, of Ivy Bend, passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2017, at his home.

He was born October 17, 1945 in Kansas City, Missouri, the only son of Paul W. and Mary C. Roberts Biggs. Bob was united in marriage to Joyce Weehunt, on February 14, 1983, in Raytown, Mo. and she survives at their home.

Bob served his country in the United States Army. He was a Vietnam Veteran.

For most of his life he was self-employed and owned several businesses.

He was an avid NASCAR fan, and at one time did his own racing on dirt tracks.

Bob and Joyce moved from the Kansas City area in 1986, making their home in the Ivy Bend community. They loved being at the lake, where friends and family would come and visit. However he especially enjoyed the time he could spend with his daughters and grandchildren. He adored and spoiled all of them.

In addition to his wife of more than 34 yrs., he is survived by two daughters, Angel Ramsey and fiancé’ Shannon Linhardt of Freedom, Mo. and Angela Biggs of Ivy Bend; two sisters, Jeanne Little of Pleasant Valley, Mo, and Paula and Ron Smith of Henderson, Nevada; seven grandchildren, Joseph Ramsey, Bailey Linhardt, Hayden Linhardt, Jackson Biggs-Bibey, Vincent Biggs-Bibey, Natalie Ramsey and Giavona Biggs-Bibey, along with other relatives and many friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Norma Bratcher and one nephew Johnny Little.

In keeping with his wishes, he will be cremated.

Bob’s family will celebrate his life with a reception, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. on Monday, September 18, 2017 at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Versailles, Mo.; a graveside service with military honors will be at 5:00 p.m. on September 18, 2017 at the Enloe Cemetary in Russellville.
