Ricky Dale Erichsen Jr.

Ricky Dale Erichsen, Jr., came into this world February 7, 1983 in Lees Summit, Missouri, to proud parents, Ricky Sr., and Wanda Putman Erichsen.

He grew up south of Stover in the Ivy Bend community where he spent his days at the lake learning to fish and enjoy the outdoors.

Ricky attended school in Stover, making friends with the “city” kids so he could stay in town after school and spend the night.

For the past several years he was employed at Adient, Inc. in Eldon as a programmer until his health no longer allowed him to work.

Ricky never lost his love of fishing and he also enjoyed a good game of basketball, tinkering with cars and playing video games.

In the early morning hours of September 12, 2020, while a patient at University Hospital in Columbia, Ricky, was given his freedom from years of pain and numerous hospital visits.

Those left to carry on Ricky’s memory include his father, Ricky D. Erichsen, Sr. of Stover; his mother, Wanda Railey of Davenport, Florida; his paternal grandmother, Rose Erichsen of Kansas City; his daughter, Arionna Erichsen of Versailles; two sisters, Sara Hudson of Warsaw and Wendy Smith of Davenport, Florida; one brother, Austin Railey of Belton; a special nephew, Jake Railey of Haines City, Florida; along with several aunts, uncles and cousins and many friends.

Ricky’s family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon on Monday, September 21, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Stover with a  Celebration of Ricky’s life beginning at 12:00 noon.
