Richard Lee Wolfe

Richard Lee Wolfe, 73, of Otterville, MO passed away Saturday, March 5, 2022, at his home.

Richard was born April 2, 1948, in Jefferson City, MO to Richard Norman and Annabelle (Potts) Wolfe, who preceded him in death.

On October 5, 1968, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jefferson City, he was united in marriage to Bonnie Sue Lorenz, who survives of the home.

Richard served his country honorably four years in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam era.

Richard enjoyed the outdoors, especially caring for his cattle, deer hunting, and bow fishing on Truman Lake. He was a natural prankster. He also loved kids and was the Otterville Santa Clause for many years. Richard worked for the Missouri Department of Transportation in striping and signage for twenty years. He also served in the Knights of Columbus as District Deputy and Chairman of Vocations. He will be deeply missed.

In addition to his wife of fifty-three years, he is survived by his three children, Joseph Wolfe (Jenn) of Carthage, NY, Susan Moore, and April Wolfe, both of Jefferson City; two brothers, Ronnie and Roger Wolfe, both of St. Louis; one sister, Brenda Brennan (Leonard) of St. Louis; and six grandchildren, Marie Knowles (Robert), Sabrina Urbina (Robert), Alex Urbina, Justin Wolfe, Zachary Moore, and Kyle Wolfe.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Randy Wolfe.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, March 10, 2022, at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Tipton, MO with Father Alex Gabriel, officiating. Prayers of the Rosary will be recited at 9:30 am followed by visitation at the Church until Mass.

Burial will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Clifton City, MO, with full military honors. The Knights of Columbus will serve as pallbearers.
