Richard Godschalk Moyer

Richard Godschalk Moyer, aged 76, of rural Sedalia, MO, peacefully departed this life on Monday, April 1, 2024, at University Hospital in Columbia, MO.

Born on April 25, 1947, in Dolyestown, PA, Richard was the beloved son of Horace and Eva (Godshalk) Moyer. On October 23, 1971, he united in marriage with his cherished wife, Sharon Ann Benner.

Richard dedicated seventeen years to truck driving, demonstrating his strong work ethic. Known for his kindness, tranquility, and devout faith to Jesus Christ, he found joy in camping, playing his guitar, and expressed his creativity through artistry. Richard enjoyed helping people. He often volunteered at the Otterville Food Bank and the Show-Me Christian Youth Home. His devotion to family was evident, especially in his love for his grandchildren and his enthusiasm playing games with them.

Surviving him are his devoted wife of fifty-two years, Sharon Ann Moyer, and their three sons: Jamie Moyer (Janelle) of Florence, MO, Joshua Moyer (Denise), and Jaquill Moyer, both of Bernville, PA. He is also survived by his sister, Doris Kamees (Sam), of Harleysville, PA, a nephew and niece, Andrew and Jenna, and cherished grandchildren: Conner, Roanna, Oliver, Nella, and Tanner.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, June 8, 2024, at Cornerstone Christian Church in Tipton, MO.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Meisenheimer Page-Dady Funeral Home, Tipton, MO.
