Richard Leon Kent, better known as “Doc Kent”, age 89, of Belton, passed on July 26, 2017.
He was born July 3, 1928 in Salina, Kansas.
He served in the United States Navy from 1945 to 1947.
He was a Chiropractor in the greater Kansas City area for 55 years, graduating from the Cleveland Chiropractic College.
He was also an avid motorcycle enthusiast, and he enjoyed spending time at his lake home, South of Stover in the Ivy Bend area.
Richard is survived by his children Regina (Gary) Sanders, Debbie (John) Wiedenmann, and Flo Henderson; his grandchildren Lauren (Dave Steigert) Sanders, Jessica Sanders, and Aaron Henderson; and 5 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Eugenia (Jean) Evelien Kent.
A celebration of his life will be held Friday, August 4, 2017, 6:00pm to 8:00pm at his residence at 7715 Crown Park, Belton, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, kindly donate to the Kansas City Zoo, 6800 Zoo Drive, Kansas City, Missouri 64132.
