Rebecca L. Griffin, 63, of Sedalia, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 28, 2022, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.

Born December 9, 1958, she was the daughter of Douglas Thomas Glenn and Margie Lee (Wear) Glenn.

On July 15, 1977, in Otterville, she was united in marriage to David E. Griffin, who preceded her in death on May 7, 2020.

Becky was a 1977 graduate of Otterville High School and earned an Associate’s degree from State Fair Community College. She worked for Gardner-Denver for nearly 27 years.

Family was everything to Becky, especially being Nanny to her grandchildren. She enjoyed camping, playing cards and games, and visiting around a campfire. She loved a cup of coffee, watching the Chiefs, dancing, and laughing. She will be remembered as loyal, feisty, caring, nurturing, kind, and for her unconditional love. She was always concerned for others, and had a special love for her work family.

Becky was a member of Otterville Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are a son, Kyle Griffin (Nichole), of Otterville; a daughter, Kayla Thornton (Branden), of Sedalia; five grandchildren, Travis, Koll, Hailee, Nik and Madee; two sisters, Mary Lee Sisney (Robert), of Sedalia, and Sherry Walden, of Warrensburg; a brother, Tom Glenn (Francine), of Smithton; her mother-in-law, Lois Griffin, of Sedalia; nieces, nephews, and extended family including Brittany Helmig and her children, Brylee and Lexie.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Marva Lee Nau; her father-in-law, Gary Griffin; and brother-in-law, Norman Walden.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, February 4, 2022, at Meisenheimer-Page-Dady Funeral Home in Otterville.

Funeral services to remember Becky and David will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 5, 2022, at Otterville Presbyterian Church.

Burial will be at a later date in I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Otterville.

Memorials are suggested to Otterville Booster Club or I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
