Raymond Alfred Noll

Raymond Alfred Noll, age 85, of Jefferson City, formerly of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, died Tuesday, August 26, 2008, at the Golden Living Center in Jefferson City, Missouri.
He was born April 4, 1923, in Philadelphia, a son of Walter Charles and Esther Ruth Schneider Noll.
Raymond graduated in June of 1941, from Simon Gratz High School in Philadelphia. He was an Army veteran, serving his country in World War II from March 2, 1943 until December 4, 1945, where he was the camp photographer.
He worked for Philadelphia Fund Society from June of 1941 until April of 1942 and for Automatic Temperature Control from 1942 until 1965. In 1961 until 1965, Raymond attended night school at the LaSalle College of Business Administration. For the next four years, from 1965 through 1969, he worked at Fogel Refrigerator Company in production control. For the next 20 years he worked at Shut-In-Society, a Sheltered Workshop in Philadelphia, retiring in 1990, at age 67, as senior supervisor and company photographer.
He had been a member of the Pilgrim Baptist Church in Philadelphia and was a member Cornerstone Baptist Church in Jefferson City.
For the past nine years, Raymond has resided in the Jefferson City area near his cousin.
He is survived by a cousin, Marylou (husband Bob) Bryant and their family of Lohman, Missouri, a nephew, Chuck Noll and his family of Arizona, along with his church family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Walter C. Noll, III.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 29, at the Cornerstone Baptist Church in Jefferson City, with Rev. Brian Credille officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 - 11:00 A.M. Friday, at the church.
Interment will be Tuesday, September 2, at the Northwood Cemetery in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with Rev. Dirk Spalding officiating. Military funeral honors will be rendered following the committal service at the cemetery.
