Ray Anthony Bush

July 16, 1954 — December 24, 2019

Ray Anthony Bush, age 65, of Stover, passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2019, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City, following a lengthy illness.

He was born July 16, 1954, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, a son of Calbert C. Jr. and Ruby Metscher Bush.

Ray was a graduate of Stover High School.  He served his country in the US Marines Corps.

He owned and operated Ray Bush Roofing Company in Laurie.

Ray enjoyed fishing and cooking out with family and friends.  He enjoyed watching Chiefs football and Cardinals baseball. He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed a friendly rivalry with his mother, while watching his favorite driver, Kyle Bush.

Survivors include, his mother, Ruby Campbell of Stover; his father, Calbert Bush, Jr. of Climax Springs;  four children, Kristal Rainey and husband Sam of Barnett; Tony Bush of Independence; Nicole Porter of Jefferson City and Dustin Metcalf of  Laurie; eight grandchildren, along with several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Ray was preceded in death by his brother, Greg Bush and his step father, Kenneth Campbell.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 28, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Stover.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 28, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Stover with Rev. Bob Kelly officiating.  Burial, with military honors, will be in the Stover Cemetery.
