RaVana Kay Watring, 76, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at Golden Age Living Center in Stover.

Born February 4, 1948, in California, she was one of four children of R.V. and Frances Aletha (Wear) Williams.

On June 5, 1965, in Syracuse, she was married to Wayne L. "Butch" Watring. This union was blessed with three children.

RaVana was a 1966 graduate of Tipton High School. She worked as a postal clerk for a time, as well as fifteen years as a waitress at Hometown Cafe, and as manager of the Ambush. Primarily, she was a homemaker and was devoted to raising her family.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Syracuse. RaVana never met a stranger. She enjoyed dancing, shopping, eating out, and spending time with her family and friends.

Surviving are her husband of 58 years, Butch, of the home; three children, Sherla Hagerman (Brad), of Fortuna, Shonna Millsap (Dusty), of Florence, and Brent Watring (Torie), of Syracuse; ten grandchildren, Bryson (Lindsey), Baylee (Jackson), Brennon (Taylor), Blayne (Courtney), Hailey (Derrick), Savannah, Blake, Beck, Kaylor and Brynlee; eighteen great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Sandra Watring Young, of Sedalia.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Russell Williams; two sisters, Moriene Edwards and Sherral Sprinkles; nephews, Randy Edwards and Mike Millsap; her in-laws, Jack and Vera Watring; and sister-in-law, Martha Watring Hayes.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, March 4, 2024, at Meisenheimer-Page-Dady Funeral Home in Tipton.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at First Baptist Church of Syracuse, with Rev. Vince Stigall officiating.

Casket bearers will be grandsons: Brennon Millsap, Blayne Millsap, Bryson Hagerman, Beck Watring, Blake Watring and Rhodey Millsap.

Honorary bearers will be great-grandchildren: Hudson Hagerman, Callen Nicholi, Rhyder Millsap, Jackson Millsap, Kaysen Millsap, Kynser Cobb, Hestyn Cobb, Laytin Cobb and Kolsyn Parker.

Burial will be in Syracuse Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church of Syracuse.

Arrangements are in the care of Meisenheimer-Page-Dady Funeral Home in Tipton.
