Rabon "Ray" Twyman

Rabon Virgel Twyman, age 79 of Tipton, Missouri passed away January 2, 2018 at the University of Missouri Medical Center, Columbia.

“Ray” was born April 3, 1938 to Nolan and Pearl Valora Fisher Twyman in Syracuse, Missouri.

On October 7, 1972 Ray married Joanne M. Petuch and their union was blessed with three sons and one daughter.

Ray spent 23 years serving his country as a 1st Sgt. in the U.S. Army receiving multiple medals and ribbons including the Purple Heart and Bronze Star with the "V" device while serving 3 tours of active combat duty during the Vietnam War.

Ray liked to spend time fishing but his favorite activity involved country western music as he loved playing the guitar.

Preceding Ray in death are his parents; sons Joseph Elliot and Rabon Twyman II; brothers Nolan, Spencer, Aaron, Kenneth and Walter Twyman; and one sister Viola Pryor.

Surviving Ray are his wife Joanne of the home; son Shawn Twyman of Tipton; daughter Brenda McChristian and her husband Gary of Oak Grove, Missouri; sisters Gwendy Cramer and her husband Don, Janice Hedrick, Kay Marsh and her husband Orville all of Sedalia; 7 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday January 9, 2018 at St. Andrew’s Church, Tipton with burial immediately following in St. Andrews Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 P.M. Monday, January 8, 2018 at Meisenheimer Funeral Home in Tipton.

Memorials to American Heart Association or Alzheimers Association are suggested.
