Patrick Henry Franken

Patrick Henry Franken, 84, of Tipton passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at the Moniteau Care Center in California, Missouri. He was one of 6 children born to T.W. and Elizabeth Franken of Tipton.

Pat served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. After returning home, he married Blanche Annette Lang on April 21, 1956 and they celebrated 43 years of marriage before she passed away August 11, 1999.

Besides being a part-time farmer, Pat also worked for Ewald Fischer and at Fischer Pool Table plant until 1979. He later worked for Fuqua Homes until his retirement, but remained farming until his health declined.

Pat enjoyed woodworking, dancing, yard work and taking care of his pets, particularly Max. He especially enjoyed being with family.

Pat was preceded in death by his parents, wife Blanche, sons Tim and Joseph, grandson Michael Tuttle, twin brother Ray, brothers Fred and Harry Franken, sisters Velma Pabst and Ruth Rugen.

He is survived by sons Steven Franken and his wife Mary of Bunceton and Donald Franken and his wife Theresa of Tipton; daughters Cindy Tuttle and her husband Richard of California, Karen Clark of Nevada, Missouri, Anita Henry and her husband Randy of Rocky Mount, Amy Franken of Tipton; grandchildren Tom Franken, Stephanie Thaemert, Sara Murphy, Danny Tuttle, Jessica Tuttle, Caleb Clark, Megan Clark, Brett Clark, Gus Henry, Nate Henry, Brock Henry, Emily Franken, Katie Franken, Elizabeth Franken, Tim Brink, Kyle Brink; 14 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Velma Franken of Tipton and Helen Franken formerly of Tipton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Pat Franken will be 10:00 AM Saturday, August 26, 2017 at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Tipton with burial in the St. Andrew's Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:30 to 7:30 PM Friday at Meisenheimer Funeral Home in Tipton with a prayer service beginning at 5:00 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to the Tipton Nutrition Center or the Edgar Cole American Legion Post 304.
