Ormond William Hinck

Ormond W. Hinck, age 78, of Stover, died Saturday, July 18, 2009, at Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach.
He was born September 12, 1930, in Emma, a son of William and Paula Oetting Hinck, both deceased. He was baptized September 26, 1930 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Emma and confirmed April 22, 1944, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Concordia. The confirmation verse chosen was Isaiah 41:10, "Fear not, for I am with you, be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my victorious right hand." He married Marietta Fischer, January 10, 1965, at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Stover and she survives at their home.
He was a graduate of Concordia High School and an Army veteran, serving his country in Japan for 17 months.
Ormond retired from the Fieldman Dairy CO-OP after 47years of employment.
He was a faithful, active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Stover. He was a member of Galloway-Martens American Legion Post 343 and served on the Board of the Golden Age Living Center, both in Stover. He also manufactured portable milking machines.
Survivors also include two sons and daughters-in-law, Alan and Ginger Hinck and Joel and Jessica Hinck, Stover; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Diane Hinck, Marengo, Illinois; Emily and Bo Pritchard, Collinsville, Illinois and Gail and Shannon Goosen, Cole Camp; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Waldo and Vella Hinck and Delbert Hinck, Concordia; sister and brother-in-law, Esther and Alfred Nierman, Concordia; five granddaughters, Amber and Madelynn Hinck, Katherine and Ellena Hinck, and Mandy Goosen.
He was also preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Velma and Roy Wahlers and a nephew, Mark Nierman.
Services will be 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, July 22, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Stover with Pastor Cecil Murdock officiating. Interment, with military funeral honors, will be in the church cemetery.
Friends will be received from 5:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 21, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Stover, with a prayer service at 8:00 P.M. Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Paul's Lutheran Church or School.
