Norman Ray French

Norman Ray French of Powhatan, Virginia, died on Monday, February 28, 2022, at the age of 87.

He is survived by the wife of a 52 years, Gipsie; four sons; John French (Cindy), Chris French (Lindy), Bob French (Kelly), and Hank Brackett (Roxi); three daughters, Kim French, Lynn French Greene (John), and Kelly Brackett Dodgen (Andy); and eighteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, George French; mother, Mildred Childs; two brothers, Alvin French and Ralph French; and sister, Thelma Williams.

Mr. French retired in 1975 after serving in the United States Marine Corps for twenty-two years. He served in both the Korean and Vietnam wars. He took great pride in serving his beloved Country. Ray was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew him.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, March 21, 2022, at Heath Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Nelson, Missouri.
