Nora Irene Virginia Pryor

Nora Irene Virginia Pryor, age 92, of Versailles, died Wednesday, April 23, 2008, at the Good Shepherd Care Center in Versailles.
She was born July 8, 1915, in Avery, Missouri, a daughter of George and Delia Sidebottom Turpin. On June 27, 1930, in Versailles, Nora was united in marriage to Clarence E. Pryor. He preceded her in death April 1, 1994.
Nora worked at the Primo Pants Factory in Versailles, retiring after more than 30 years of employment.
She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who looked forward to Saturday evening, when her family would stop by for a visit. She also enjoyed working in her flower and vegetable gardens, riding the OATS bus and traveling with family and friends. She attended the First Assembly of God Church in Versailles.
She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Hershel and Evelyn Pryor of Gravois Mills; Larry and Charlotte Pryor of Versailles and Darrell and Carla Pryor of Stover; two daughters and sons-in-law, Naomi and Harvey Williams and Lucille and Fred Lepley all of Versailles; fourteen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, ten great-great grandchildren, also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Charles and Clarence Pryor; one daughter-in-law, Helen Pryor; eight brothers, Calvin, Elwood, George, Herman, Roy, Everett, Paul and William Turpin and one sister, Nova Henderson.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, April 26, at the First Assembly of God Church in Versailles with Rev. Roy Bennett officiating. Interment will be in the Versailles Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Friday, April 25, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Versailles. Memorial contributions are suggested to Gideons International.
