Miss Marla Ann Knox

Marla Ann Knox, age 51, of Russellville, died Monday, June 1, 2009, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City.
She was born August 25, 1957, in Jefferson City, a daughter of Joseph Victor and Gladys Hilda Raithel Strope.
Miss Marla was united in marriage to Floyd Wayne Knox on September 28, 1996, in Jefferson City, and he survives at their home.
She was a 1975 graduate of Jefferson City High School. She was a pharmacy tech at Super D Drugs in Jefferson City.
Miss Marla was an accomplished cook, who enjoyed the challenge of trying new recipes. She also had a green thumb when it came to growing beautiful flowers and plants.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her mother, Gladys Strope of Jefferson City; one brother, Darrell Strope of Russellville; three stepsons, Bobby Knox and Lloyd "Butch" Knox and wife Alicia all of Sedalia and George Knox of Eugene; one stepdaughter, Tessie Dawson of Kansas City; a niece, Maggie Schrader and husband Adam of Russellville; a great-niece and nephew, Sadee and Zachary Schrader, eight step grandchildren, Kayla and Candice Dawson; Zack, Celeste, Kyle, Conner, Dillon and Althea Knox, also other relatives and many friends.
Miss Marla was preceded in death by her father, a sister, Vickie Henzler and a step granddaughter, Anabel Knox.
In keeping with her wishes, she will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, June 6, with Father Rob Fields presiding. Inurnment will be in the Enloe Cemetery west of Russellville. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until service time at the funeral home on Saturday.
