Mildred L. Fischer, 86, of Boonville, formerly of Stover, passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at The Arbors at Ravenwood Terrace in Moberly, MO.
Mildred was born on January 21, 1939, in Benton County a daughter of Poe and Mary (Bias) Bush. On November 8, 1958, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Stover, she married Myron Jean Fischer who preceded her in death on June 9, 2011.
Mildred was a devoted and hardworking woman whose life was centered around her faith, family, and community. She worked for many years as a secretary at Primo Pants in Versailles, Missouri, where she was known for her dedication and friendly nature. Later, she continued her career and eventually retired from Good Shepherd Nursing Home.
A faithful member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Stover, Mildred found strength and purpose through her relationship with God and her church family. She and her husband, Myron, shared a deep love for traveling, enjoying countless adventures and making cherished memories together over the years.
Mildred had a passion for gardening, and she found peace and joy in the pages of a good book. Above all, her greatest joy came from spending time with her family. She especially treasured family dinners, where laughter, stories, and love filled the room.
Survivors include two sons, Randy Fischer (Billie) of Boonville, MO, Myron Fischer (Brenda) of Cole Camp, MO; six grandchildren, Samantha Gillum (Josh), Megan Rowland (Patrick), Gabriel Fischer (Kristen), Jordan Fischer (Sarah), Brittany Snoody (Kyle), and Bridgett Reynolds (Scottie); 13 great-grandchildren, Carson Cummins, Brett, Mia, Michael and Beckham Rowland, Mikhael, Malakhi, and Makynlee Fischer, Graylynn, and Emmerson Fischer, Brynlee, and Stetson Reynolds, and Skylah Snoddy; one sister, Karen Huff (Larry) of Versailles; one brother-in-law, Loren Richardson of Independence, MO, two sisters-in-law, Shirley Bush, and Karen Young both of Stover.
Mildred was preceded in death by both of her parents, her husband; three siblings, Poe Ed Bush, Dorothy Richardson, and Woodrow Bush.
A memorial visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, November 7, 2025, at the Scrivner-Page-Dady Funeral Home in Stover. Memorial contributions are suggested to the St. Paul’s Lutheran School in Stover.
