Mike Niermeyer

Michael "Mike" Niermeyer, 71, of Otterville passed away peacefully, Friday, July 17, 2026.

He was born on December 28, 1954, in Sedalia, MO, to the late Andy and Mariana (Hostenpiller) Niermeyer.

Mike grew up in Syracuse, MO and was a 1972 graduate of Tipton High School. He also attended Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, MO. Mike worked as a roofer for Weathercraft for many years, and later Scholastic, until his retirement.

Mike loved spending time with friends and family. He was a proud man, who valued his freedom.

Mike is survived by a family who will always remember him for his gentle nature and quick wit. He enjoyed life's simple pleasures, such as a cold beer and a smoke while catching up with the ones closest to him. Mike was always willing to lend a hand... yet never asked for anything in return.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Kathy Graf; three brothers, Jim Niermeyer, William "Bill" Niermeyer, and Jay Scott Niermeyer; and two nephews, Tim Arnold and Chad Niermeyer.

A private inurnment will be held at a later date in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Otterville, MO.
