Mickey Davis, age 67, of Stover passed away Friday, February 25, 2022 at Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia.
It was on the 23rd day of November in 1954 when CJ and Geneva Pearce Davis welcomed their new baby, Mickey Jay, into their home in San Francisco, California.
On December 23, 1976, Mickey was united in marriage to Cheryl Jones, who preceded him in death on May 4, 2017.
Mickey liked to hunt and fish. He was always one to keep busy and liked to work with hands which led to him being a machinist for Gardner Denver. He could also weld and enjoyed fixing things when they broke.
The most important thing in Mickey’s life was his family, especially his granddaughter.
Left to carry on Mickey’s legacy is his son, John Davis and Tracy of Kansas City, Missouri; his granddaughter, Lexandra; his sister and brother-in-law, Belinda and Ronnie Hicken of Smithton; along with other relatives and friends.
A graveside service for Mickey will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 4, 2022 at the Stover Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until just before the service time at the Scrivner-Page-Dady Funeral Home in Stover.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Stover Animal Shelter.
