Michelle Yvonne Gerke

Michelle Yvonne Gerke, 58, of Pilot Grove, MO, passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at Katy Manor, surrounded by her family.

She was born on November 12, 1966, in Downey, CA, to Paul and Sheri (Young) Kelly. On June 6, 1998, she married the love of her life, Patrick Gerke, in Boonville, MO.

Michelle dedicated many years to her work as a dental assistant in Boonville and at Katy Manor, where her compassion and care left a lasting impact on those she served. A woman of many talents, she had a deep love for animals and a passion for gardening, especially tending to her flowers. She found joy in crocheting, sewing, and baking, and she was known for her delicious pies-her apple pie being a particular favorite among family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Patrick, of Pilot Grove; two sons, Jonathon Gerke of Pilot Grove and Paul Swearingen of Boonville; her mother, Sheri Kelly, of Pilot Grove; her nieces, Brook Arnold and Amanda Kelly; and many extended family and friends who will miss her deeply.

Michelle was preceded in death by her father, Paul Kelly; her sister, Dawn Marie Kelly; and her infant son, Anthony Swearingen.

A celebration of Michelle's life will be held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at Meisenheimer-Page-Dady Funeral Home in Pilot Grove, with visitation beginning one hour prior to the service. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Michelle's husband, Patrick Gerke.
