Michael Charles Rose

Michael Charles "Mike" Rose, age 63, of Alexandria, Virginia, formerly of Jefferson City, died Saturday, November 3, 2007, at his home.
He was born January 9, 1944, in St. Louis, Missouri a son of George and Betty Hyland Rose, who are both deceased. He married Rhonda Oelrichs Hall on May 21, 1994, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Lohman and she survives at their home.
He served his country in the United States Army.
Mike was a graduate of Lutheran High South in Affton, Missouri and the University of Missouri-Columbia, with a B.S. and Juris Doctorate degree. He was an attorney in private practice in St. Louis until 1990. From 1990-2004 he was an attorney for the Missouri Highway and Transportation Commission.
Mike was a member of the Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Alexandria. He was a member of the Education Committee and served as a Thrivent Congregational coordinator. He was a former member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Lohman, Missouri, where he served on the church council and the worship committee.
He was a representative on the Lee District Land Use Committee in Alexandria. He served as Chairman of the Board of the Heisinger Lutheran Retirement Home in Jefferson City.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Michael Rose, Jr., and wife Amy of Los Angeles, two daughters, Margaret Rose of Cincinnati, and Alice Rose McDonald and husband Rafael of Boston, two brothers, Stephen Rose and wife Debbie and Timothy Rose all of St. Louis and one sister, Patricia Eddy and husband Jim of Colorado Springs.
Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Thursday, November 8, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Lohman with Rev. Eugene Moll and Rev. Lou Schuetze officiating. Interment will be in the St. Paul's Perpetual Cemetery in Cole Camp, Missouri with services beginning at 1:30 P.M. and Rev. Paul Kelly officiating.
Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 7, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Russellville and from 9:30 until service time on Thursday at the church. Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Lohman or ALS Association Development Dept. 27001 Agoura Road, Suite 150, Calabasas Hills, CA 91301.
