Melvin Donald Davis, 78, of Otterville, passed away Thursday, July 8, 2021 at his home.
He was born January 26, 1943, in Sedalia, a son of the late Albert and Glenna (Reno) Davis.
He attended Smith-Cotton High School. He served his country honorably in the US Army.
Mel worked at Pittsburgh Corning for a few years, did TV repair and most recently worked as a security guard at various manufacturing companies.
He enjoyed fishing, metal detecting, hunting, tinkering with various things and buying lottery tickets.
He is survived by a daughter, Nancy Davis, of Sedalia; two sisters, Janice Thornton, of Sedalia and Alberta Ellison, of Otterville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Albert Davis; and three sisters, Lois Seifner, Joyce Davis and Patty Davis; and his former wife, Martha Davis.
There will be no services.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the family in care of Meisenheimer Funeral Home in Otterville.
