Megan Maddy

   Megan Maddy, age 34, of Stover passed away Monday, April 29, 2024, at the Lake Regional Hospital.
   It was on the 6th day of April in 1990 that Timothy and Nancy (Hinton) Hartsell welcomed their daughter, Megan Mariah, into their home in Independence, Missouri.
   She was married to Leland Maddy.
   Megan enjoyed many things including crafting, cooking, and sewing. She loved making things, especially if she was making something for her children or nieces. She was a die-hard music fan and she was always ready to have a jam session. She also served the Ivy Bend community on the board of the Ivy Bend Fire Department. Her greatest enjoyment in life came from spending time with her kids.
   Megan was a kind and caring soul, and she will be missed dearly by everyone who had the pleasure to meet her.
   Left to carry on Megan’s legacy is her husband, Leland Maddy; their four children, Arianna, Sabrina, Lily, and Nathan; her father Ronnie Jones; her mother, Nancy Martin; mother-in-law, Carole Green; nine siblings, Chelsey Jones, Teresa Jones, Bethany Guy, Ray Maddy and wife Chelsey, Timothy Maddy, Teddy Brown, Steven Maddy, Micah Hartsell, and Bobby Hartsell; grandmother, Kathleen Jenkins; along with many other family members and friends.
   She was preceded in death by her son, Orion Alexander Maddy; two grandmothers Peggy Young and Marjorie Jones; and her biological father, Tim Hartsell.
   Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 11, 2024, at the Scrivner-Page-Dady Funeral Home in Stover. Burial will be next to her son in the Stover Cemetery.
   The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
