Mary Louise Phelps

Mary Louise Phelps, 89, passed away Monday, October 3, 2016 at Katy Manor in Pilot Grove, Missouri.

"Louise" was born December 24, 1929 in Dallas, Texas to William Edward and Ibbie Howlett Sturges. She graduated from Sunset High in Dallas.

She retired from two different companies...from the Mortgage and Loan Department of Travelers in Dallas and then later at the age of 80, from Sears in Mesquite, Texas in the Appliance Sales Department.

As Louise's health declined, she moved to Missouri to be closer to her daughter. She spent the last of her days in Katy Manor receiving wonderful care and making many new friends.

Mary Louise Phelps was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Edward Truman Sturges.

She is survived by her daughters Elizabeth Ann Coleman and her husband Grant of Sedalia, Missouri and Cynthia Louise Tainn of Texas; granddaughter Daphne Alana Farmer and great grandson Harley Davidson Farmer.

Memorial services will be held in Texas at a later date.
